One of the phrases in
Taoism that I really like is Wu Wei. It means "without
doing, causing, or making."
It evolves from an inner
sensitivity to the natural rhythm of things. When you work with
Wu Wei, you put the round peg in the round hole
and the square peg in the square hole. No stress. No struggle.

.... the mind of Wu Wei flows like water,
reflects like a mirror, and responds like an echo....
Chuang Tse
"To attain knowledge, add things every
day. To attain wisdom, remove things every day."
Chuang
Tse
Yield and overcome; Bend and be straight;
Empty and full; Wear out and be new; Have little and gain; Have
much and be confused.
Lao
Tzu
A man is born gentle and weak. At his death
he is hard and stiff. Green plants are tender and filled with sap.
At their death they are withered and dry.
Therefore the stiff and unbending is the disciple
of death. The gentle and yielding is the disciple of life.
Thus an army without flexibility never wins
the battle. A tree that is unbending is easily broken.
The hard and strong will fall. The soft and
weak will overcome.
Lao Tse
Be careful not to turn
over a fish too many times or it shall fall apart.
